Welcome to the website for the Hedgesville Baptist Church, which is located in beautiful Berkeley County, West Virginia. The mission of the Hedgesville Baptist Church is to spread the Gospel of Christ to those in our community and to the people of West Virginia. The Lord has given our church a great desire for Evangelistic Outreach. Throughout the year, as the Lord leads us, our church hosts many different types of outreaches here in Berkeley County and to wherever Christ may lead us.
We pray that as you look through this website, you begin to see and understand who we are as a body of believers in Christ. Please pray for our church and church family as Christ leads us into another year of serving HIM by evangelizing the State of West Virginia.
Rev. Scott Sheets, Pastor
The Hedgesville Baptist Church was started in September 1977. The Mission of the Hedgesville Baptist Church is to fulfill the great commission, by spreading the good news of the Gospel of Christ to the people of our community and to the citizens of West Virginia. The Lord has led our church to conduct many different types of Evangelistic Outreach here in Berkeley County and in other parts of West Virginia. We have seen many souls come to know Christ as their personal Savior through these works; and, we have also been blessed to have seen some of our own church family grow in their personal faith through these works.
We hope that this information helps you to better understand who we are as a body of believers in Christ. We do ask for your continued prayers as The Lord leads us into another exciting year here at Hedgesville Baptist Church. May the Lord richly bless your heart and life as we continue to serve HIM together.

"Identifying a Biblical Marriage"
From the Pastor: Throughout the years of ministry, I have had many Christians ask me this question. Can a Christian find joy & peace in the midst of problems, let downs & sorrow? The answer to this question is “Yes.” Take the time to read Psalm 118:11-24 & see how the Psalmist dealt with these real-life issues and be blessed & encouraged in your journey through this life. Blessings.
And we know that all things work together for good to them that love God, to them who are the called according to his purpose.
