What We Believe

- We believe that the Bible is the verbally inspired Word of God, His revelation to man, inerrant in the original writings and that it is therefore the supreme and final authority in all matters of doctrine, faith and life (2 Timothy 3:16-17)

- We believe in one God, eternally existing in three persons: Father, Son and Holy Spirit (Matthew 28:19, 1 John 5:7)

- We believe in the pre-existence of Jesus Christ (Ephesians 3:9), virgin birth (Luke 1:26-38), the sinless perfection, the bodily resurrection (Luke 24:36-39, John 20:28), and ascension into heaven (Acts 1:9-10), and that He is there now as our High Priest and Advocate (1 John 2:1, Hebrews 2:17), and the fact that Christ is true GOD and true man (1 John 5:7, John 10:27-33)

- We believe man was created in the image of God (Genesis 1:26), that he disobeyed God and thereby incurred spiritual death (Genesis 2:16-17, Genesis 3), which is separation from God, and also physical death as a consequence; and that all men are born in sin (Psalm 51:5 & Romans 5:12), and are sinners by nature and practice (Romans 3:9-11, 3:23)

- We believe that the Lord Jesus Christ died for our sins as a vicarious (2 Corinthians 5:20-21), substitutionary sacrifice (Hebrews 10:10, 1 Peter 3:18), and that all who believe in Him are saved on the basis of His shed blood (1 Peter 1:18-19, Hebrews 9:22)

-   We believe that the Holy Spirit is a person, that He convicts the world of sin, of righteousness and of judgment, that He regenerates the sinner by the Word of God (John 16:7-15, John 3:5-7, 1 Peter 1:23), that He permanently indwells the Church, and the body of each believer, at the moment of the new birth, that He seals, enlightens, instructs, and guides every born-again person, and that He is the sufficient power for Godly living, Christian service and spiritual service (Ephesians 4:30, John 14:16,17 and 26)

- We believe the grace of God to be sufficient for the maintenance of a Godly walk (Titus 2:11-14), and that Christ and not the law is the believer’s rule for life (Galatians 3:11-13, 24-26)

- We believe that the Scriptures clearly teach nonconformity to the world for every believer (Romans 12:2), that born-again people should be separated from the world unto Christ; that it is clearly commanded of God to all believers to live lives of separation from all worldly and sinful practices and to be holy as He is holy. We believe that positional sanctification occurs at the moment of salvation (Colossians 1:13, Hebrews 10:1, 10:14)

- We believe the Church is an elect company of believers baptized by the Holy Spirit into one body (1 Corinthians 12:12-14), its mission is to witness concerning its head, Jesus Christ, preaching the Gospel among all nations (Matthew 28:19-20, Acts 1:8)

- We believe in the Blessed Hope, the personal premillennial pretribulation and imminent return of our Lord and Savior Jesus Christ, which is known as the Rapture of the Church (Titus 2:13, 1 Thessalonians 4:13-17, John 14:3). We also believe in the personal, visible and glorious return of Christ to the earth with His Saints at the end of the Great Tribulation. This phase of His coming is known as the Revelation of Jesus Christ when He will establish His Millennial Kingdom and will reign for one thousand years (Revelation 19:11-21, 20:1-6)

- We believe in the bodily resurrection of the just at the Rapture (1 Thessalonians 4:16, 1 Corinthians 15:51-57), and of the unjust at the end of the millennium (Revelation 20:11-15, John 5:28-29)

-   We believe in a Literal Heaven and a Literal Hell. Heaven, the place of eternal conscious joy for all who receive Jesus Christ as their personal Savior (John 14:1-6, Psalms 16:11, Philippians 1:21 and 23). Hell, the place of conscious punishment for all who reject Jesus Christ and those dying in their sin until the final judgment (Psalm 9:17, John 8:24, 2 Thessalonians 1:7-9), at which time death and Hell are cast into the Lake of Fire, which is the place of eternal conscious punishment (Revelation 20:10-15)

- We believe that salvation is the gift of God (not of works) offered to man by divine grace and received by man through personal repentance, faith and trust in the finished work (Luke 13:3, 2 Peter 3:9, Ephesians 2:8-10, 1:10), and the shed blood of the Lord Jesus Christ on the cross (1 Peter 1:18-19, Hebrews 9:22)

- We believe that just as God saves us, He also keeps us eternally secure and that we may rejoice in the assurance of our salvation (John 10:27-30, Philippians 1:6, 1 Peter 1:5, 1 John 5:10-13).  Christian liberty however, is not to be used as an occasion to indulge in the flesh (Galatians 5:13, 1 Peter 2:16)
